After an inspiring concert of French music (Gounod's lovely St Cecilia Mass and Saint Saƫns' Organ Symphony) on 28th March, accompanied by the City of Cardiff Symphony Orchestra, we are now preparing for our participation in the opening concert of the 2026 Llandaff Festival.
Rehearsals for William Walton's Belshazzar's Feast have already started. The concert programme will also include William Mathias's jubilant Let the People Praise Thee, the world premiere of Hiraeth by Ben Heneghan and Iain James Veitch, and Chorale for the Valleys by Ben Heneghan. Our rehearsals and workshops are open to potential new members. We are keen to recruit tenors and basses, but currently have a waiting list for sopranos and altos. To arrange to attend, please contact our secretary via secretary.llandaffccs@gmail.com
Our rehearsal venue is Canton Uniting Church in Cowbridge Road East, CF5 1LQ.
CUC is on the corner of Cowbridge Road East and Theobald Road, next to the Co-op Supermarket.
All potential new members will need to have an audition before being accepted as a full member.
